Biography
Francisco Barrios was born in Argentina, where his passion for training first developed while playing rugby. Although he enjoyed the competition on the field, it was the process of improving in the gym that truly fueled him. After moving to Buenos Aires for university, he immersed himself in bodybuilding, gaining access to better training, competition opportunities, and the vision of one day competing among the world's best.
Now based in Curitiba, Brazil, Francisco has steadily established himself as one of the top Open bodybuilders in the IFBB Pro League. After earning his IFBB Pro card with an overall victory at the European Championships in 2021, he made an immediate impact on the professional stage before claiming victories at the Texas Pro, New York Pro, and Argentina Pro. Back-to-back Top 10 finishes at the Mr. Olympia have cemented his place among bodybuilding's elite. His partnership with GASP reflects a shared commitment to continuous progress, discipline, and the pursuit of reaching his full potential.

Rapid Fire with Francisco
When did you begin your bodybuilding journey?
I discovered bodybuilding while playing rugby. I realized I loved the challenge of improving in the gym more than competing on the field.
Who are your biggest influences?
My mom has always been my biggest role model. In bodybuilding, James Flex Lewis and Jay Cutler have had the biggest impact on me.
What motivates you to keep pushing?
Knowing I've already exceeded what I once thought was possible makes me want to discover how far I can really go.
What do you enjoy outside the gym?
Spending time with my girlfriend and our dogs, watching movies, and following soccer, Formula 1, and the NBA.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Stay patient, trust the process, and keep showing up. Things can change faster than you think.
