People want to say the only right way to train is XYZ. I say there are no absolutes and many techniques should be used for bodybuilding training.

Ed Brown in his 41 years has soaked up tons of knowledge from application, from world class training partners and from studying strength and muscular hypertrophy. He won his IFBB Pro card at the NPC Universe last year and has trained novice trainees to become overall champions on stage.

With this particular feature we want to showcase some of the information, techniques and exercises that Ed Brown has learned and applied through the years that have produced results for him. It is a stark contrast to some of the other training videos we have featured and that is the point.

"You have to do what works for you. You have to figure it out."

Fresh off a win at the 2021 Chicago Pro, Darwin Uribe is excited and motivated to take the Olympia stage this year in the classic physique class. A longtime friend of Darwin and fellow Columbian, Camilo Diaz, dropped by Destination after competing at the Texas Pro to catch up and get in a gnarly back workout. "Since I am here [Destination Dallas], I exploded my potential not only physically but mentally, and I think he could feel it during the work out because I was pushing him a lot-- and he's a big guy, so that means he needs to work harder than what he's used to in Columbia."

Gym lifts are not the same as powerlifting meet lifts.

Johnnie Jackson spells out the bench press. From how to lift and listen to commands in a meet to using the "kinetic chain" and certain exercises to improve every muscle group responsible for strength and stabilization for a max bench press.

"People think bench press and think chest, chest, chest but its so important to think of the opposite of the chest and what's stabilizing the weight."

We usually refer to anything out of the ordinary as "crazy." Anything that is NOT what MOST people do usually elicits a side ways glance and is categorized as weird/crazy and even stupid.

Anything worth achieving on a world class level is. Period.

Brett Wilkin who is preparing for the Chicago pro and Martin Fitzwater who is preparing for the Texas pro want to be the absolute best in the world. So this goes without saying that THEY ARE CRAZY in their approach to do just that.

"This is our 2nd exercise. We did 4,000 reps with ALL of the weight."

When we hit the road you only have a brief moment to see if you want to test yourself and jump in with the likes of Branch Warren whom along with Johnnie Jackson is one of the original TRAIN INSANE bodybuilders.

Ben Chow happened to decide to train legs with Branch Warren when we hit up the House of Gainz in Georgetown, Texas which is about 20 minutes north of Austin.

For those of you who know wad follow Ben Chow, he does not shy away from heavy weights. In fact he has been known to lift some world class poundages when it comes to bodybuilders.

"It was not the weight that was killing me. It was the pace and the volume combined with intensifiers."

Fair warning that this video has a lot of shaky and off frame footage given the fact that we all had to part take in the stripping of plates for the drop set on the leg press. So the cameras went to the floor and back up again to continue the drop set.

The Most Volume I've Ever Done: Ben Chow Trains Legs with Branch Warren

Keone Pearson and Ben Chow got nasty at Gym One, located in Austin, Texas, with a very powerful chest workout. It was supposed to be their rest day, but the two dug deep and brought the energy. At the time of filming, Keone was 6 weeks out from his show at the Chicago Pro and Ben was 8 weeks out from his show at the Phoenix Europa.

"It's an environment people wish to be apart of every day...you can only get better, you can't get worse being around that type of group and that type of energy. We feed off each other and I think that's how it should be."

Y'all asked for it! Johnnie Jackson and Keone Pearson link up finally and train chest. Keone is 8 weeks out from "repeat" victories at the Chicago pro.

"After discovering GASP on youtube, Johnnie and Branch were the inspiration to how I train."

Johnnie Jackson is revving up the competitive engine again for a powerlifting meet coming up in October hence the addition of the bench press and floor presses to this training session. Keone is bigger than ever heading into his second run at the Chicago pro and another Olympia qualification.

Johnnie Jackson & Keone Pearson: Old School Meets New School

When hitting the road, there's a certain level of being agile and hostile that you have to adopt.

Ben Chow along with the GASP crew including Branch Warren, Keone Pearson and Martin Fitzwater hit the road to Austin, Texas to Big Tex Gym. Big Ed Brown trains all over Austin and Big Tex is one of his main training homes for Ed. Ben and Ed end up having a gnarly heavy back day with included pulldowns with a 300lb stack, 250 lb dumbbell rows and a 200lb back off set of dumbbell rows, more rows for upper back, pullovers and finished off with heavy t-bar rows.

Admittedly, Ben is more of a "control freak" meaning his usual training set up is fixed and more or less perfect when it comes to variables such as equipment, atmosphere and timing of his training BUT as mentioned above Ben was agile and accommodated this crazy back session with Ed.

Train, eat AND compete together. Sounds like we are in the good days again and why shouldn't we be. We write our own story and make it happen now.

Keone Pearson moved to Texas. He is taking 2021 and "doing the most." Here he links up with Jason Hebert aka the American Bully on instagram.

Jason and Keone have different approaches to training, more specifically Keone being more ballistic and explosive as opposed to Jason's stricter and controlled methodology. The point is that even these differences and the fact that they're both preparing for the Chicago pro didn't stop them from linking up and gripping and ripping some iron.

"Ive always had nothing but respect for GASP. With all the athletes, every one knows each other, every one gets along really well and every one has the same mindset. Thats really important in this sport."

We get to know Jason Hebert in an intermittent interview/training style video along with some clanging, one liners and training cues from Keone.

These guys will be at the Chicago Pro along with some of the inner team and other ambassadors and athletes like Hunter, Brett, Liv, Ivana, Martin, and Olivia.

Martin Fitzwater touched down in Dallas and hauled ass to Destination to fit in his chest session. We mic'd him up and are delivering everything to you this morning. Being only 24 years old Martin realized very early on that a huge number on his bench press is definitely NOT his goal and fully developed muscle bellies are.

Through the years he, and training partner Brett Wilkin have selected exercises geared toward activating and recruiting muscle fibers early on in the training session and then chose exercises that delivered on what is needed to optimally develop areas needed on most bodybuilders.

Martin goes through his own training cues on how he himself activates his chest the best he can and further explains his routine you see here and the order of exercises.
